SAYA, NERU (TAPIRMON) and RIEKO, YUUDAI (BEARMON)

Neru is a Digimon with a very laid-back personality. He is slightly lazy, and his favorite thing to do is sleep. That's why "Neru" is a fitting name for him, as it means "sleep." Despite his laziness, he is very motivated to do whatever he is told. But when he isn't told to do something, he won't do anything. He does whatever Saya tells him to, and he is the only one she really views as a friend. Neru can be kind of dark at times, threatening people and saying dark things. This doesn't make him a completely evil Digimon, though. He is only malevolent because Saya is. He would rather be benevolent, and he often tries to convince Saya to change her ways.

His name, Yuudai, mean "big hero," which is very fitting for him. He has a very heroic attitude and loves to be the hero. He is always boasting about his strength and the "amazing" fights he has won. He loves to make jokes and have fun. He may seem like he doesn't take anything seriously, but that is not necessarily the case. He is always joking around, but as soon as he given a task or faced with danger, he puts on a serious face and does what he has to. Yuudai feels that he needs to protect everyone he knows, even if they don't really need to be protecting. He is especially protective of Rieko.
