Justin let out a heavy sigh. Today had started out so promising, he had made it through the monotonous process known as high school and was looking forward to hanging out with some of his friends later. In the meantime, he had decided to browse the Internet to kill the time. Which, apparently, had been a terrible decision. He'd been on the computer for barely ten minutes before the screen flashed white and suddenly he was here.
In a forest.
Well he assumed it was a forest anyway. He wasn't really sure what made a forest a forest and the trees in this 'forest' seemed awfully few. And despite the sun shining brightly directly overhead, they cast much larger shadows than one would have thought. Oh well. Justin wasn't sure if it constituted as a forest or not, but he had no better word for it, so he'd just have to call it a forest for now.
"This stupid forest is creepy as hell," He grumbled, deciding to take a break and slumping down against a tree. He had been wandering around for over an hour in this place and the sun had started to get to him. Despite all the shadows that the trees cast, they didn't seem to bring any respite from the heat. The whole thing was rather unsettling really.
"You're kidding me!" Justin jumped up, startled by the sudden noise. "You're the human I've been waiting all this time for?!" A small purple hand with one large, crimson eye on what would have been the back of the hand jumped out of some nearby bushes. Justin let out a loud scream and scrambled away from the detached hand.
"W-what the hell? You're a talking hand!" He yelled while it glared it him. An impressive feat, to be honest, considering it only had one eye. If Justin wasn't quite so freaked out at the moment, he might have been impressed.
"I am not!" It huffed angrily, "I'm a digimon!"
"A digi...mon?" Justin sounded the new word out, "What's that? And how are you talking without a mouth?"
"A digimon is a creature that's made up of data," The talking hand replied, ignoring Justin's other question.
"That's...that's impossible. If you're made up of data, then how are you on Earth?" The digimon laughed at him.
"You're not on Earth anymore," It said, "You're in the digital world now, where the digimon live."
"Oh." Justin said, furrowing his brows in thought. The small digimon gave him an inquisitive look.
"Aren't you a little upset by being in a new world or something?" Justin shrugged.
"I guess. But freaking out won't really solve any problems. I'll just have to figure out a way back home," He said firmly. "Besides, this is kind of cool. I'm basically in a video game! I'm Justin by the way. What's your name?"
"My name's Tsumemon." It replied. Justin nodded.
"Well, it's nice to meet you!"
