The harsh heat scorched down upon the duo as they made their way through a dense jungle. Melody wiped away some sweat from her brow before pausing and taking out a canteen. She took a sip of cool, refreshing water and looked slightly rejuvenated before handing it to Matrix who turned down the offer. The Kapurimon (Matrix had degenerated from Hackmon to Kapurimon in order to conserve energy) refused a sip simply because she wanted the others to remain hydrated.
"Save it for you and the others." she said and Melody shrugged before turning to the two accompanying them. She showed the canteen to Harmin and offered him some.
"It's refreshing and cool, like me." Melody said with a toothy grin. She never missed an opportunity to compliment herself, much to Matrix's dismay. The Kapurimon sighed at Melody's antics, looking rather withered.

Not even questioning how a person could be 'refreshing,' Harmin took the canteen thankfully from her hands, taking a few controlled sips before hanging it in front of Sed, who proceeded to take two generous gulps. Harmin pulled the canteen away quickly, scolding the tokomon briefly. "We have to conserve it, Sed. We don't know when we can get more."
The young digimon sighed, giving a restrained, "Okay..." As he continued his stride beside his tamer, his stubby little legs struggling to keep up.
"Where are we headed again?" Harmin asked as he stooped to pick up his partner, cradling him as he fixed his pace to keep up with Melody, firing off a brief questions as he stepped in suit with her. "I'm still not familiar with this world. I can't keep track of what's what." He said, a slight hint of sheepishness marring his tone.

Melody chuckled when Sed took enormous gulps from the canteen. Matrix took the canteen from Harmin and handed it to Melody, knowing that she disliked being handed things from people/Digimon she'd just met.
"Don't worry about it, kid. I have a feeling we'll reach an area with water soon." Melody said with a smile as she continued onward once again. Matrix hopped along after her. Upon hearing Harmin's question, Melody grinned again and turned her head slightly towards him.
"We're actually just here to explore. I had a feeling that we'd find something interesting here, you see." she said as she jumped over a fallen tree trunk. She helped Matrix over it as well.

Harmin placed Sed atop the trunk, throwing his legs over the fallen vegetation to vault the obstruction. He patted his shoulder, motioning for Sed to hop up on him as he continued to walk forward, the digimon picking up on the gesture and climbing aboard his tamer. Harmin dusted some wood chips from the light hoodie that he'd yet to take off since he'd been in the digital world, adjusting his clothes as he found the pace to keep up with the rest of the group.
"Interesting how?" He asked with a curious, but cautious tone, wondering if there was anything in particular she was looking for, or if they were roaming around for sport. A mixture of trepidation and an uneasiness at wasting time fused into an odd feeling in his gut that he knew was purely his own problem. There was nothing wrong with just walking around or exploring, he knew that. He was just a worrywart, plain and simple.
"Are there gonna be any digimon there too?" Sed asked with a wonder filled tone, settling himself on Harmin's shoulder as he nearly lost balance, his tamer's hand against his side keeping him from sliding off.

Melody waited as Harmin got over the tree and then walked on while looking around at the scenery. She kicked around a pebble for a few steps before kicking it straight forward and listening intently for something. There was the sound of something solid striking some sort of fluid. She rushed forward immediately and found a small stream. She bent down near it and refilled the canteen.
"Interesting as in new and unknown. Something incredible will happen at this very spot." Melody said before poking at a rock by the stream. It seemed to move and so she decided to sit on it. The rock seemed to dig into the ground, making a 'click' sound as it caused some hidden mechanism to activate and a hole opened up in the ground. Stairs led down into it.
"There are definitely going to be some Digimon here." Melody said.

Harmin peered over the side of the hole , watching the stairs' near endless descent, the boy unable to make out what was beyond what he could see. Sed hobbled over to the edge of the staircase, peering down into it as he gave an impressed; "Wowwwww." He spoke with a childlike sense of wonder, looking back over to Harmin as he spoke, "Harmin! Let's go down there!" He said as he tried to hop down one of the steps, Harmin grabbing him by his nape before he could manage.
"Hey, hold on there..." Harmin spoke softly as he crouched near the hole, turning his gaze to look back over to Melody. "What's down here? I can't even see past the stairwell... Is it safe to go in?" He asked with a serious demeanor, still new and apprehensive to the digital world. He didn't know what this place could be possible of. He'd seen people jump off of roofs and survive, digimon evolve into frightening, armed beasts, computers swallow up people and put them in all new worlds... Until he knew what he was getting himself into, he wasn't eager to follow the other tamer.
"Harrrminnnn." Sed groaned in a singsong tone, wriggling to try to escape his tamer's grasp, "Who cares what's down there? That's why we're here, right? To find out!" He said as he tried to struggle free, continuing with, "Besides, she said there's digimon down there! I wanna meet them!"

Melody looked into the hole and whistled at how dark it was. She thought silently about what to do with the darkness for a few seconds before snapping her fingers as she got an idea. She took out her phone and turned the flashlight option on it on.
"Does it seem safe, now?" Melody asked with a smirk before heading inside. Matrix immediately followed after her.
"Don't worry about any danger. If there is any, ARIEL will alert me." Melody pointed out, gesturing to her phone and digivice. The AI was synced to both devices.

"ARIEL?" Harmin asked curiously as he followed along behind her, eyes adjusting to the partially illuminated hallway. The unsure way she suggested there may be anger caused Harmin to feel uneasy, holding Sed against himself for comfort as he descended the steps one by one, echoes of the multiple pairs of footsteps reverberating across the hidden hallway. "Is that your second digimon? Is it in your digivice?" Harmin asked unsure, wondering exactly what a digivice could do. He hadn't made much use of it yet. It had helped him locate Sed and had digivolved him from his baby stage, but that's all he'd seen it do thus far. He wondered silently when Hesedial would digivolve again.

"ARIEL, or ARticiial IntELligence, is an AI that I made myself. She's synced with my digivice and phone." Melody explained upon hearing Harmin asking about ARIEL. She stepped down the last of the stairs before flashing the light by Harmin's feet so that he could see where the steps were.
"This place is simply marvellous!" Matrix suddenly said as she looked into the darkness. She could see what the others couldn't with her night vision. Melody briefly flashed the light where Matrix was seeing and whistled at what she saw. There was an enormous temple before them with two Drimogemon standing guard by the entrance. The temple was too far away from the group for the Drimogemon to see them but they certainly heard them. They were alert and looked around for any sign of the group. Fortunately, a cluster of stalagmites and stalactites made it impossible to the two guards to see them.
"I'm guessing those two won't be very friendly if we appear out of nowhere. We ought to move in slowly and speak to them before trying to get inside." Melody said.
