for all the places she'd been to in the digital world, this one most certainly ranked in the top three. conver volcano - it wasn't a question of why it was hot nor was she so surprised at the fact, the name said it all, really - was up there. next to gear savannah and maybe mount mihirashi. nevertheless, it wasn't too much of a bother for the hawaiian born. not to mention, california wasn't exactly the coldest place on earth either. so, it wasn't surprising that juliette would find herself in shorts once more, as she traversed along the area, wandering and traveling as she always did when she had nothing better to do. who knows, maybe she'll end up meeting others! ever the social butterfly, juliette quite enjoyed company - well, more company than just matyas and akoni.
speaking of, the two rookies - akoni hadn't regressed back to his in-training stage, preferring to stay a rookie here - walked side by side with their tamer, eyes flickering back and forth, ever so watchful. not that juliette was ignorant or oblivious, but the blonde certainly wasn't the most observant. matyas, though, was quite glad that he had not digivolved, for garurumon x was an ice type digimon and ice never went well with fire. akoni, on the other hand, being a fire dinosaur digimon, seemed to enjoy the temperature. it was almost soothing for the guilmon - he preferred it to mount winter.
the trio wandered about for a bit, just exploring and sight seeing as the azure eyed teen was prone to do. she'd traveled plenty in the human world - it was something that seemed to just carry over when she was brought to the digital world. then again, juliette was always an adventurous girl - seeking out journeys and following her curiosity. matyas stiffened, eyes narrowed as akoni let out a warning growl. digimon were far more sensitive than humans, so juliette didn't question their actions. "eh?" well, maybe she did, but she knew why they did so, it was just more for the other person's - if it was another tamer - benefit rather than her own. "anyone there?"
she hoped so. if there was one thing that would never change, it would be the fact that she absolutely hated the thought of being alone, despite having only her partners with her as she traveled. for the most part, that is. still, juliette much preferred to be journeying with others, or at least, spending a bit of time with another tamer before they went their separate ways.
notes: anyone, feel free to join~!

Yu shuffled his feet and wondered if he should respond to Juliette. He had been walking around the general area with Izanagi in search of companions, but he also did not want to get involved with anyone who may end up trouble for him. Still, he was rather lonely. Sure, Yu had Izanagi with him, but having only the small Botamon was lonely at times. He wanted to have a human companion as well, one who would understand him in a way a Digimon like Izanagi could not. And so, he decided to respond. "Um, hello..." he said while approaching Juliette slowly.
He looked at her and began to analyze whether or not she would be a threat. Izanagi also kept a close eye on Juliette and her partners. The duo took notice at how the girl didn't seem awkward with her Digimon at all, making it obvious that she was experienced. This also meant that her partners were likely to be able to digivolve to high levels. Izanagi couldn't even digivolve to Rookie, yet. This would mean trouble if a fight broke out.

none of them were surprised when another tamer approached. he seemed a bit shy to juliette, which she thought was probably because akoni and matyas were being protective. again. she loved her partners dearly, and sure, she may not have been the most cautious of people, but her partners took protecting her to a new level. but, being juliette, the blonde could never really get angry with them. after all, they only wanted what was best for her and to keep her from harm. how could she be mad at them for that? in response to his somewhat shy and cautious greeting - something matyas approved of, even if he had yet to accept this newcomer as a possible friend to his juliette - the azure eyed girl smiled. "hi!" she chirped in greeting, as friendly as she always was and always will be.
in contrast to his tamer, akoni bared his teeth, eyes narrowed at the male, untrusting and unwilling to let him befriend his juliette. matyas, much more calm than the guilmon and much less possessive, merely watched on cautiously. he would allow the other tamer to accompany them, but that didn't mean he trusted the boy yet. juliette huffed at her red partner, arms crossed and an almost pout in her expression. "akoni, be nice." she stressed. kind as she was, her second partner was much more battle-ready than one would expect from the partner of a pacifist girl like juliette. then again, matyas seemed to fit that role well, so akoni really did help balance the team. said digimon huffed himself, nudging juliette in apology. the cheerful blonde merely smiled and hugged him around his neck, giggling lightly. how she adored her digimon.
"how long have you been in the digital world?" the salamon x asked, baby blue eyes flickering from the botamon to the tamer. if he were going on level alone, he thought that maybe the newcomer really was just that. a newcomer. unless, of course, they had gotten into some battle beforehand - though he didn't remember the last time he had been so tired that he had regressed to a yukimibotamon. perhaps a newly hatched partner? no. the tamer didn't seem to carry the aura of one who recently regained their partner after losing them. so, it made sense that the new duo were newcomers to the digital world. it never hurt to make sure though. at least, with this statement, akoni calmed himself, settling into a glare rather than the hostile growling and baring of teeth. "un, did you arrive here?" juliette asked, more so out of curiosity than anything. besides, she always liked knowing these types of things - they made friendships come that much easier.
the bubbly blonde grinned once more, "would you like to join us?" she asked. she couldn't help it, really, she couldn't. juliette just wanted some company and he seemed like a nice person. it was always fun, making friends anyways. "we're not doing much though, just wondering around, really." there was a sheepishness to her words, but she still rather hoped he'd join. it would be nice to have some company again.

Yu relaxed somewhat when Juliette greeted him with a friendly 'hi'. He stepped a little closer, feeling safe but then jumped a little when Akoni bared his teeth. Yu decided to step backwards again, hoping to not get mauled by the Guilmon. Izanagi growled at the red Digimon but relented when Yu gave him a strict look. Yu relaxed again when Juliette hushed the Guilmon and told him to relax. Yu smiled at seeing how Juliette treated Akoni and decided that the girl was someone to be trusted. When Matyas asked how long Yu had been in the Digital World, Yu thought for a bit.
"I think I've been here for a month, now..." he replied, somewhat unsure of how long it had been. Time was very different here in the Digital World than in the Real World, after all. Izanagi tensed when Akoni settled for glaring at him and his Tamer but did nothing more. To answer Juliette's question, Yu shook his head. "No, actually. I arrived around the Native Forest area, actually. I met a few friends there but I've been travelling around ever since." he explained. When Juliette asked if he wanted to join her, he was surprised. He hadn't expected to have gained her trust so easily. After all, they know next to nothing about each other. Still, he gave a small nod and a smile. "That's fine. Izanagi and I have been looking for companions, after all."

"a month, huh?"
there was no mocking tone in her voice, merely an echo as she seemed to think on the answer. juliette was pretty sure that she had been in the digital world far longer than a month - maybe a few months or something? - and her eyes settled on the cute little botamon in yu's arms. and make izanagi white and he'd be the twin of yukimibotamon - he still was, in a way. like light and dark, botamon and yukimibotamon. "I think I've been here for a few months myself, maybe three? or is it four?" of course, it was a bit more of a guess; it wasn't as if the digital world had a calender. at least, she hadn't found one yet. maybe she'd have to look a bit harder - admittedly, she wasn't looking all that hard to begin with.
"oh, you're just like me! well...i arrived in mount winter, but i've been traveling a lot since then, though!" she grinned, a bit sheepishly as she added in the fact that she had started out in mount winter rather than native forest. and while she didn't know him, the bubbly blonde thought that he would've made a nice friend to travel around in. after all, it seemed they both had tendencies to wander. and while their tamer seemed a-okay with the new tamer, matyas and akoni were unsurprisingly more weary about the silver haired tamer. and while matyas didn't outright show it, his eyes remained cautious. as well as the warning in them that dared him to even try to harm juliette. the blonde almost too friendly and more trusting than either digimon would like.
akoni didn't bother hiding the glare, even as the tamer agreed to join them on their little adventure. "what's yer name anyways?" he barked out, tone harsh and unrelenting. the bubbly blonde didn't expect it, as akoni was rather more tame as a guilmon than any other form. namely as a chibimon, but that was because he was easily jealous when he was a chibimon. and while she knew his protectiveness didn't change as he went from in-training to rookie, she didn't expect him to just speak so harshly at the newcomer. matyas sighed, even as juliette huffed and tapped the guilmon on the nose in punishment for his rudeness. "don't be rude," she chastised as she did so.
the salamon x, rather than watch the scene between his partner and his tamer, turned to the other tamer and his baby level partner. "i apologize for him." he began, sounding far older than one would expect from a digimon with his size and appearance, "i am matyas, the guilmon is akoni," he turned his head in the duo's direction and nodded towards his tamer affectionately, "and that is our tamer, juliette." as the most mature of the trio, matyas knew that sometimes juliette forgot to introduce herself in her eagerness for adventure and joy in making a new friend. he didn't bother asking the same question akoni had, it was pretty already out there anyways. and he thought that maybe the boy'd end up introducing himself anyways.
"what other places have you visited, if you don't mind my asking?" the digimon asked, as they continued forward, exploring deeper into the volcano. juliette turned her azure eyes on the other tamer, almost expectantly like a child, excited to hear about his own adventures. she had always liked stories anyways.

Yu nodded when Juliette repeated what he had said. He was at least 80% sure that that was correct; he had seen day end and night come, though his internal clock kept telling him that the days were too long or the nights were too short. He had been in the middle of autumn when he was suddenly plopped into the Digital World, after all. However, when Juliette told him that she had been here for what she believed to be three or four months, Yu frowned. "Is it not lonely?" he asked, knowing that he himself sorely missed his friends and family back at home. Sure, he enjoyed being here with Izanagi, but nothing could truly fill the void that was left when Yu realized he was away from home with no way of getting back.
Yu felt slightly better to know that Juliette had also been merely traveling around. It helped to know that you weren't the only one who had no specific destination in this world. He was slightly taken back by Akoni suddenly asking, in a rather rude tone, what his name was. Yu had forgotten he had yet to introduce himself. "My name is Yu Seta and my Botamon friend here is Izanagi." he said. He was surprised when Juliette suddenly tapped Akoni's nose, seemingly a punishment for rudely speaking to him, and felt some pity for the Guilmon. He hadn't meant for that to happen. He was even more surprised when Matyas spoke calmly and maturely since the Salamon X was the last Digimon one would expect to hear speaking so politely. When Matyas asked where else Yu had been, he smiled. "I have also been to the Ancient Dino Region, the Tropical Jungle and File City." he replied.

her bright, exuberant smile receded slightly at the reminder that, yes she did feel a bit lonely at times, especially when everyone was gone or out doing their own thing and she was just left to her own devices. it was one of the reasons the blonde had taken to traveling so well - both here and back home, in the real world - it just seemed to take her mind off the fact, if only for a little bit. it helped though, that matyas and akoni were there; otherwise she wasn't sure she could cope at being alone, like really alone, for her journey around the digital world. juliette appeared to be pondering on the question, which she really was. was it lonely? yeah, sometimes. but she thought that it was real great when she found a friend to travel with. not to mention, she did miss her family, but considering how little she's seen her brother and father, it wasn't all too surprising that she wasn't really broken up about it. but still, the lingering pang of home sickness did hit her once in a while, especially when reminded of her siblings. "sometimes," because as bubbly and cheerful as she is, juliette is not a liar...well, not a good one, at least.
"i mean, i've met lots'a people here, and i traveled with some of them but, i do miss my family," a wistful sigh at the mention of her family, azure eyes hopeful that she'd see them soon. she still had to introduce matyas and akoni to them! "but, i can get back home, if i really wanted to. it just...being there makes matyas and akoni real tired," and while it was true, she had yet to visit her family, as harsh as it sounds. juliette's always done there on digimon business rather than for her own - her heart was too kind to let herself stray from helping others in order to appease her own desires. it was one of the reasons why she had been chosen to bear the crest of kindness. "but i still have matyas and akoni with me anyways, so it's okay." and really, so long as she had those two, who were her partners and who she relied on heavily despite their rather short time together (compared to her friends and family), she would be fine. they took care of her, after all.
"pleasure to meet the two of you, yu and izanagi." the salamon x stated, inclining his head towards the duo. juliette nodded, grin back in place, cheerful as ever. "it's nice to meet you!" she echoed. but she meant it, being the type of girl that was always glad about meeting new friends. and yu was a friend, no matter how little she knew of him or how shortly they knew each other. the silver haired tamer hadn't given her any reasons not to be anyways. akoni, instead of echoing his partners' sentiments merely huffed, turning his head away. the tap on his nose didn't really do much but make him want to sneeze. juliette knew it - it was probably because she couldn't bring herself to really harm her digimon - but the meaning was clear enough for the guilmon. behave or don't talk. so, he chose not to talk.
he may not have been a chibimon, but he didn't like the new tamer any more than he liked the others - namely, those of the male variety that hung out with his tamer. she was his, end of story. and matyas' but that was because they were partners too, in a way. matyas sighed inaudibly at akoni's stubborn attitude and protectiveness over their tamer. he, too, was protective of juliette as the girl trusted too quickly and too easily, but that didn't mean he chased away any and all tamers that wanted to talk to the blonde. "you have yet to be in the north then," the puppy looking digimon stated, more so to himself than anything. juliette nodded, azure eyes turned to the other tamer, "it's real cold up there. so if you do plan to go there, just be prepared with a nice coat and snow boots and stuff like that!" because she knew what it was like to be there unprepared - granted, it wasn't her fault she landed there in the first place, but still. she'd rather not repeat the experience nor let anyone else feel that bone chilling cold without proper gear.
"i've been there twice now, and it's still pretty chilly. matyas doesn't mind, since he seems to like the cold. but akoni hates the cold; he prefers this place, where it's nice and hot." she couldn't help but giggle at the irony of her two partners being so opposite in preferences. matyas digivolved to an ice type digimon, while akoni digivolved to a fire type. it just made her giggle for some reason - juliette herself had no preference for either. so long as she had nice company. "do you think you'll find a place to stay? like an apartment at file city or something?" tagged: yu seta, open notes: (:

Yu noted that Juliette's smile slightly quivered when he asked whether or not it was lonely. He understood. He and Juliette were alike in this sense; even though they had their partners, it was still very lonely to not see the faces of his family anymore. 'Shiro must be worried by now...Even if the time is different here in the Digital World than in the Real World, Shiro will be worried. Not to mention Otou-san and Oka-san...' Yu thought with a frown. He hated worried his younger cousin. He noticed that Juliette seemed to be taking a considerable amount of time thinking about the question. When she finally opened her mouth to answer, Yu had half-expected her to lie and say that she hadn't been lonely at all, so it came as a surprise when she admitted that it did get lonely at times. He listened intently when the girl began to explain that even though she had met many people here, she did still miss her family. Just like he did. He hugged Izanagi just a little tighter, a motion so small that it was barely noticeable. The small Botamon blinked and glanced at his Tamer.
When Juliette explained that her partners helped with the loneliness, Yu grinned. That was good. It meant that this Tamer truly loved her partners, just like himself. "It is very nice to meet you, as well." Izanagi looked at Juliette and her partners and gave a small bow. "It is a pleasure." he said in that strong and confident voice he always had. When Matyas stated that he had yet to be in the north, Yu thought about it. Would a trip to the snowy and cold region of the north be a good idea? He could always warm up with Izanagi; the Botamon radiated heat, after all. He decided he would take Juliette's advice and prepare himself beforehand. And then came the question of whether or not Yu had a place to call 'home' in the Digital World. The answer would be no. "I actually do not have a home here in the Digital World, yet. I've spent my entire time here travelling, after all." he replied. "However, I have been considering getting a small apartment in File City, as you said."

azure eyes noticed the frown, as did the baby blue of her first digimon, but neither commented on it. they had been talking about home and juliette wouldn't have been surprised if he was thinking about home and his family. to be honest, the bubbly blonde did plan to visit home, to see her parents and siblings again. and despite the fact that she hadn't visited before, she really missed them. her father and brother especially because they've yet to see each other after the last time - which, including her time in the digital world - was nearly eight months ago. too much time for the affectionate, azure eyed blonde who loved her family and couldn't bear to see them apart. still, it was better than others she knew, who never got a chance to see their other parents after a divorce. "if you miss really miss them, you can visit them, you know?" she asked, not pityingly but sympathetically and curiously. did he know that he could open a gateway or portal to get back to the real world? she'd done it already, she knew.
she just felt bad about going there for long amounts of time because matyas and akoni really didn't appreciate the real world sometimes. they were fine with it, but akoni disliked the fact that it seemed as if their strength was less than it should be other there. matyas theorized that it was probably because they were digimon and being in a foreign world probably limited their abilities. suffice to say, akoni was not happy. he didn't like having the ability to protect juliette taken away from him - as sometimes they'd end up as in-training levels. and it took a while to gather enough energy to digivolve again - especially if it was due to injuries or lack of power. "i could help you, if you'd like? but you'd probably end up back here afterwards. that's what happened to me." not that she planned on abandoning the digital world - especially not after matyas told her of the problems occuring within it - but she wasn't particularly looking forward to fighting to fix it all. after all, violence wasn't the best way to negotiate, was it?
but matyas told her that sometimes, she had to fight. and she concurred, but that didn't mean she had to like it. "izanagi will need a lot of energy though, if he were to digivolve there. it takes much more than digivolving here." the salamon x warned, akoni withholding a growl at the memory of feeling the inability to digivolve and being generally helpless - as a chibimon he stuck close to juliette for two reasons; one being his possessiveness towards his tamer and the second being that he couldn't fight very well. he'd rather be that last resort to protect his tamer should matyas be beaten or unable to continue battle. but matyas was strong, he knew that and the guilmon respected it. his fellow partner would be able to buy enough time for him to digivolve at least to rookie, if not champion anyways. "it also takes energy to maintain form," the puppy looking digimon added. the first time, he had been well rested and all healthy so it had been easy to remain in his salamon x form. digivolving came easy as well due to it, also due to the fact that juliette was in danger.
she still didn't like dinobeemon much, avoiding their eyes whenever they encountered the digimon. which, fortunately, wasn't very often. she blinked, before nodding. remembering when she had just been traveling around without a place to stay for the most part. it was lucky that juliette liked to travel and didn't mind camping at all. unless she got frightened; then she'd cuddle with matyas and fall asleep later than she would've. fear did that. at least now she had the guild and castle momentai to call 'home' in the digital world. "i remember doing that, traveling and camping - do you camp? or do you find a place to stay for the night?" she asked, azure eyes curious, "but i've heard the apartments are really nice!" she added with a grin, nodding her head as she thought back to the last time she was in file city. the building was pretty nice too, she wouldn't have minded living there.
"well, 'a course they are! business means profit, ya know. and good apartments mean business." akoni spoke up finally, his adoration for his tamer much more than his dislike of the males that were currently traveling with them. juliette and her friends - why couldn't she befriend more girls? matyas repressed a sigh, though amusement danced in his eyes. he knew akoni could never go too long without talking with their juliette - the guilmon practically placed her on a pedestal - of which matyas would agree he did too, but that was because they both adored their tamer as much as she loved them. "you know where you should go?" she suddenly asked, azure eyes shining as she remembered her favorite place in the digital world, "you should visit primary village!" she exclaimed, not even waiting for his response in her exuberance.

Yu snapped his eyes to Juliette when she replied that she could help him visit his family. "Are you positive...?" he asked, his eyes filled with hope. He had been longing to visit his home for quite some time now. Izanagi seemed to be mildly interested as well. He had heard many stories about his Tamer's family and had been wanting to meet them. Yu didn't seem upset about ending up back in the Digital World, but was somewhat discouraged when he heard Matyas explain that Izanagi wouldn't be able to digivolve in the Human World. He knew how much Izanagi enjoyed being able to digivolve freely. After all, the little Botamon wanted to be able to protect Yu from any danger and digivolution was required to do so. Izanagi looked at Yu and sighed before nodding. This meant that the Botamon did not mind having to gather more energy for digivolution. "Is there any way to return to our world right now, then? I'm sorry if it troubles you..." Yu asked with a hopeful grin.
When Juliette asked if he camped, Yu nodded. "I find that camping is generally easier since there is no need to spend any money. Getting an apartment would be nice, but I do not believe I would need it much. I travel very often, you see." he replied. Yu had actually considered renting an apartment but it was just as he said; he wouldn't use it because he was always on the move. Upon Juliette's suggestion to visit Primary Village, Yu thought about it. He had heard from many Digimon that Primary Village was a wonderful place. Perhaps it would behoove him to go to such a place.

she couldn't say no.
there was no way she could say no. especially as he looked at her with that hopeful gleam in his eyes. she wouldn't have said no anyways; the blonde was far too kind to do so. besides, she'd already said she'd help him if he wanted. "mmhmm!" she hummed in agreement, nodding her head with a bright smile, glad to be of some help at least. she always was happiest when she was able to make others happy. "i've done it before; the first time might be a bit disorienting, but it'll get better," she stated, tapping a finger on her chin as if thinking about anything else to mention. so far, she had nothing.
matyas heaved a silent sigh - his tamer was too kind for her own good. not that he didn't want to help yu, but juliette really didn't have to do this. she chose to, yes, but it wasn't her responsibility to do so. akoni didn't particularly like traveling to the real world, if only because his power was limited but he couldn't ever deny his tamer anything. if she wanted to go, then he'd be right by her side with matyas as she stepped foot onto the earth. however, it was different if it wasn't her that they were going for. he still didn't particularly like yu or izanagi - honestly, it was more due to possessiveness and jealousy than anything; otherwise he really didn't have much of a problem with either of the two - and the guilmon wasn't sure if he wanted to go all the way to the real world just for them.
not to mention, izanagi couldn't fight for anything at the level he was right now. behind the gruffness that was akoni, he really did suit juliette as a partner, as dd matyas. as it was, izanagi wouldn't be able to do anything if they were to run into trouble. and even though it was the real world, stray digimon did tend to escape there at times. "perhaps it best if we wait," the salamon x responded, tone kind yet firm. he knew that izanagi might not have the energy levels needed for a safe trip to the real world - he himself just had enough energy to digivolve that first time. he wouldn't wish that feeling - the helpless feeling of being unable to protect his tamer - on anyone. so it would be best if the botamon had time to prepare for the possibility of another digimon attacking yu. matyas wanted to tell yu but he hadn't wanted to make izanagi feel unable to anything of that sort. baby blue caught azure eyes and he knew juliette was following his line of thinking. she'd hate for anything to happen to the little botamon or his tamer if they went to the real world now.
akoni, however, had no qualms about being the one to speak, so, despite his two partner's hesitation, he spoke without even a pause. "yer little partner might not be up ta the trip. he needs more power before it's safe fer him." the guilmon stated, quite bluntly and unafraid of the repercussions that juliette and matyas had worried about. matyas sighed at akoni's lack of tact, but knew it was best that they got it out. juliette fidgeted, unwilling to leave it at that because she really didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. "it's just that...the gate, it's...well, it limits their abilities, like we said before. so, if izanagi got more strength - not that he's weak or anything! - but it'd be safer. for the both of you..." she stuttered, waving her hands in front of her, trying her best not to seem like she was looking down on them. oh, how she hated this and she really wanted to help. truly she did. "but, uhm, but when he's ready i'll be glad to show you how to open a gate!" she added hastily, azure eyes wide with worry and concern. she really, really hoped that she didn't hurt their feelings. that'd be horrible. it'd make her feel horrible.
matyas nodded, as yu's statement, juliette thinking back to when she had been doing the same - well, she was still doing the same as yu, traveling often that is - and how much fun camping was - is. "do you not plan to stop traveling?" matyas asked, baby blue eyes turned to the silver haired tamer, "i think getting an apartment, or at least finding a nice place to stay would be beneficial in the long run," the salamon x nodded, knowing that when juliette didn't want to travel it was easy to just head back to her room and rest. it was even a bit relieving, knowing that juliette had a place to stay - a warm bed and a roof over her head at the very least. not to mention, castle momentai was a well protected place, what with the guild living there and all.
"you can come visit us, if you want; we live in castle momentai with the guild!" the bubbly blonde grinned, eyes bright. she was sure adam wouldn't mind another tamer joining...well, if yu wanted to. juliette knew he wasn't a bad person, so he'd be welcomed like all the other guild members! akoni scoffed lightly to the side. bad enough he had to deal with that terriermon and adam there; adding yu and izanagi to the bunch would probably just grate on his nerves - more like jealousy but akoni refused to believe it.
"Juliette" "Matyas" "Akoni"
