Kazuki gulped. She always hated being around the Overdell. It was just plain creepy...What were all these gravestones for? Not to mention the many Bakemons living there. They absolutely enjoyed making her life miserable. They also wanted to eat her. Not that Rai would ever let that happen. Still, it was disconcerting to be in the area. After all, the place made Her happy...There was no way Kazuki could let Her out. After all, She would only make everyone suffer and destroy everything. That would be unpleasant. Kazuki shook these thoughts away; there was no time to be thinking about this! Not when there were Bakemons about, trying to get a bite out of her and Rai. Speaking of Rai, the Agumon looked as though he absolutely dreaded the place. Good to know she wasn't the only one. She looked at the Agumon and he gave her a disgusted frown. "Kazuki, I cannot believe you would ever take me to such a revolting place! How could you? You should know how much I hate these kinds of areas...!" he shouted, alerting a Bakemon nearby. Kazuki clamped a hand over Rai's mouth while he was in mid-rant as he was getting a bit too loud. "Rai...! If you're any louder, you're gonna reveal our position!" Kazuki whispered. The Agumon looked apologetic.

Sally wasn't really sure why she kept ending up in what some might call the "creepiest places imaginable". First the sweltering, eerie forest where she'd first entered the Digital World, and now - now this place. A graveyard. A bloody graveyard, of all things. Somewhere that even she, as a teenage delinquent and part-time vandal, wouldn't even have dared to tread.
A worn stone path branched out from the rusted gates at the entrance, winding its way through the lined headstones that dotted the dying lawn. The main path, heading forward right from the entrance, led to what appeared to be a church of some kind. Except unlike the bright churches Sally was used to seeing in Harrisburg, it was much... darker. Not dilapidated, mind you, but its colour scheme wasn't exactly what she was accustomed to. It practically blended in against the darkened sky.
She stood before the opened gates, her eyes fixated on the tallest spire. Which, she assumed, was the bell tower. Probably. If this even was a church. Honestly it seemed too spooky to be one, so Sally wasn't one-hundred percent convinced on that. On the other hand... who built a building that wasn't supposed to be a church or a chapel, next to a cemetery? For real?
In any case, she stood there with Purple Blob - or, excuse me, "Spyro". As Sally had named him. Completely not ripping off a certain eponymous purple dragon whose games she'd enjoyed numerous times throughout her childhood. The sudden renaming had come on part of the little Digimon's evolution. Or whatever it was supposed to be called. He'd gone from a tiny purple blob, to a slightly bigger purple blob with bigger ears and a brown face. And though he was apparently called a "Yaamon" or something... he was still just a little purple blob.
Except now, he had attitude. And could actually speak English. Holy shit.
"So, why the hell did you wanna come here again?" Sally asked, looking down at him. The little Digimon was just a little ways ahead of her, bouncing forward along the cracked stone path.
"Because dis place is cool!" Spyro squeaked, in that hilariously high-pitched voice of his.
Clearly he had a different definition of cool than Sally did. They were going to have to work on their communication skills sometime in the future to make sure they were on the same page. She wasn't even sure how Spyro knew about this place though; he was just a little baby, having hatched out of an egg not too long ago.
Though, looking around now, Sally did notice this place seemed to attract some... shady looking characters. Particularly ones who looked like ghosts. Well, if your idea of a ghost was akin to a fourth grader wearing a sheet over their head. Minus the floating around bit; your average fourth grader couldn't fly.
These rather unsavoury characters could, however. And fly they did; wandering around the headstones, with their blackened eyes and big teeth. They were kind of funny looking in Sally's opinion, and made the area - the "Overdell" as it was apparently called - look a little less spooky, and more in line with a Looney Tunes cartoon.
"Is there uh, anything to do here besides... look at gravestones?" she pondered, stopping by one to examine it.
Spyro didn't answer her that time. Sally figured he must have been straight-up ignoring her, though that was because she hadn't yet noticed they weren't alone. Aside from the sheet-ghost creatures, of course. But Spyro did; he'd bounced his way up the stone path, and found what appeared to be a girl and another monster sitting behind a headstone.
Interesting! Yes, truly curious. Spyro hadn't thought they'd find anyone else here. Mostly because he was still a baby, who was lacking in the foresight department. And being an impetuous baby without reservations, he decided to hop his merry way over to the pair until he was only a few feet away. Just so he could ask them an important question.
"Whatcha doin'?"

the overdell was not a place she had thought she'd be visiting again. juliette much preferred the beach or primaru village, where the atmosphere was light and warm, unlike the cool, almost creepy feeling at their current location. akoni was in his rookie form, unwilling to be a chibimon when he knew of the threat that waited for trespassers; not to mention it wasn't the first time they'd 'trespassed'. and from one as cheerful and, admittedly, slightly childish as juliette, trespassing seemed to be laughable. the bubbly blonde was too thoughtful to think of 'trespassing' - it wasn't as if the bakemon owned the area anyways. and the guilmon would gladly remind them of that fact should they dare to approach his tamer. it was obvious that the large red dinosaur-like digimon didn't particularly like being back.
neither did the salamon x that stood steadily on her other side, baby blue eyes alert and cool in a way that meant business. the last tie they had been there was for a digi-egg, another form of digivolution that they had learned about earlier, the bakemon had crowded around them, but didn't step any closer due to his and akoni's threatening growls - on akoni's part, anyways - and glares. this time would be no different - aside from the fact that it wasn't one strange dot on the digivice, but two that represented other digidestined. they had been passing by, none of the trio all too eager to return, when juliette had noticed the two signals on her digivice - signals that meant another digidestined was in the area. and though the blonde teen didn't particularly like the overdell, she thought that maybe they'd appreciate more company. she knew she did when she had been there last - but she only had her partners and while they made her feel safe, there was something about human contact that just sort of worked.
"stupid bakemon" the guilmon muttered, golden eyes narrowed threateningly as he bared his teeth; it was a deja vu moment, for he had done this exact same thing the first time they had come through in search of their "mysterious" digi-egg. matyas, on the other hand, proceeded to ignore the bakemon. they were cruel digimon, yes, but he knew they weren't stupid. self preservation would remind them to stay away otherwise he'd have no qualms about turning them back into data. "akoni," she chided softly with a sigh, knowing he would still be calling them stupid and she couldn't really stop him from doing so. akoni was much too stubborn to argue with at times. "oh? looks like they're together now," juliette stated aloud to her partners, azure eyes glancing down at the digivice in her hand, the two dots close enough that she knew they probably at least saw each other if not met.
"you want to make sure they're okay, then?" the salamon x asked, though he knew that was what his tamer planned on doing anyways. she didn't know who they were, but she'd hate to have just ignored the knowledge that someone was there if they really did end up needing her help or something. akoni huffed, his ear flicking in irritation, along with his tail, but he said nothing. juliette, though soft hearted and kind, was just as stubborn when it came to helping others. and if he was maybe kind of hoping for a fight with the bakemon, then he wouldn't admit to it aloud. well, not right now anyways. "oh! the bakemon!" she pointed forward, where two distinctly human figures were, along with a dinosaur-like digimon and what looked like a baby or in-training level - as small and round as it was. and there were bakemon around - those that glanced her way were a bit viciously growled at or glared at - and juliette thought that the other tamers seemed like they wanted to get away from the ghost digimon.
not that she'd blame them of course; they gave her shivers when they followed her on her quest, as if waiting for the perfect moment to strike. luckily, her partners wouldn't let them come within ten feet of her. and with their digivolution level, she knew they'd have little to no problem dealing with the bakemon anyways. and so, the trio moved forwards, towards the two other tamers and their partners. "um, hello," juliette stated, not bothering to hide for her partners would protect her. and it was unspoken that they'd take these two others - females, akoni noted with a relieved grin (his tamer needed more female friends) - under their protection for the moment as well. "they botherin' ya?" the guilmon asked, golden eyes turning towards the bakemon around them. he needed to let loose some energy, and since they were already in the overdell, why not use it on the bakemon? their fault for trying to attack tamers anyways. stupid digimon.
"akoni!" she admonished once more, though it wasn't exactly anything stern, "what he means is we just thought you looked like you needed some help," juliette smiled, friendly and open as her azure eyes flickered from the two tamers to their partners.
"Juliette" "Matyas" "Akoni"
