[OOC: Since the old one has been removed, I'm starting a second Fishing thread. In small size is what I already had written. The rest is new so I don't get accused of copy-posting]
The sun was high in the sky. It could be lunch time, but they had no way to know that. All they knew was that both human and Digimon were hungry, and that there wasn't any vending machine near the place.
Hagu was staring at a plug, which was set on the ground. The scenery was pretty weird, with a lot of wires over the place as if they were bushes, and some of them hanging from the trees. The Digimon noticed as well that those trees were in pots, instead of growing out of the floor. What would be below the grass that didn't let them grow properly? And who took care of them?
The human, on the other hand, was lost in his thoughts. Fran didn't know how to get some edible food at Digital World, apart from going to the cities' restaurants. But they were broke, and no chef would let them eat for free. If he could at least eat some rusty screws, just like Hagu did...
All of sudden, a shadow moved through the lake's surface. Fran caught eye with whatever it was, and he stood up. He didn't know if it was a fish that could be eaten, but he had to try. Otherwise, he'd starve to death.
"Hagu! Let's look for a branch! We are going to fish that thing!"
The Hagurumon went off into the woods, not really sure about what 'fishing' meant, while Fran took some thread from his backpack. He didn't even know how it has gotten there, but he was glad that they had something to make a rod.
His partner finally came with a huge stick between its gears.
"Will this make for a branch? I couldn't find anything bigger", it said.
"Whoah, that's more than enough. We will have to cut it into two pieces", replied Fran. Said so, he took a stone and broke the stick into two smaller rods. He attached the thread to the point of one of them, and then he looked at Hagu. "OK, buddy. This is almost done. Now we need something that will do the bait."
"Like, what? Another branch?" it asked, clueless.
"No, no. You'll see... A bait is what we put on this end of the thread so the fishes in the lake try to eat it. They'll get hooked in this little piece of metal I've put here, and then we pull and we get the fish for lunch", he explained.
"Oh, I see! So we have to put something that fishes like there!" Hagu exclaimed.
"Right! So, we'd better look for some worms in the earth, and see if they like them."
